U.S. District Judge Donovan Frank toured MDI last week and met several of our employees, for whom he has advocated his entire career. Judge Frank has been a compelling voice for people with disabilities, calling for justice, equal treatment, and respect. In 2015, he approved Minnesota’s Olmstead Plan, designed to ensure people with disabilities are able to live, learn, work, and enjoy life in the setting of their choosing.
Also joining the conversation was Kelly Nye, research associate for the Institute on Community Integration at the University of Minnesota.
