The Sound of Music is the story of Maria Augusta von Trapp who said, “Music acts like a magic key, to which the most tightly closed heart opens.”
On May 18, MDI employees and community members had the pleasure of listening and opening their hearts to a performance by the Minnesota Orchestra. The Orchestra performed at four separate locations in the community throughout the day, including MDI Cohasset where the woodwind players delighted MDI employees and guests, Central Square Mall where the brass players gathered to play tango, jazz and rags, MacRostie Arts Center where the strings players played chamber music and a final performance of the entire orchestra at the Reif Center.

Thank you to the musicians  and the Minnesota Orchestra for reaching out to the state for those unable to see and hear them perform at Orchestra Hall.
