At the November 30 Board of Directors meeting, Keith Olson, board chair, presented awards to two retiring board members; Rick Harding and Len Rothlisberger, in honor of their years of service to the MDI Board of Directors. Both served from 2010 to 2017.
Rick was board chair from 2014 to 2015. He will continue as member of the finance & audit committee and the business development committee. Among Rick’s many contributions to MDI he was instrumental in development of MDI’s new facility in Hibbing which is scheduled to open in January 2018.
Len served as human resources/employment services committee chair from 2014 to 2017. He will continue as human resources/employment services committee member and success at work subcommittee chair, a role he has served in since 2015. Len led the process of granting MDI Success at Work scholarships to students in the four communities served by MDI over the last five years.
