Below zero temperature on December 15th couldn’t keep a group of local men and women (including MDI employees Brandy Erven and Diane Meyer) from putting huge smiles on the faces of close to 100 kids in Itasca County.
For the past 47 years The Driftskippers have held an annual Christmas party for local children with disabilities. Volunteers spent the day giving snowmobile rides or pull kids behind them on makeshift sleighs, lunch was served and Santa Claus even stopped by to ride along and hand out gift to all the children; it truly was a magical times for everyone.
