For the past 13 months, MDI has had the opportunity to employ 6 individuals supported by 3 different job coaches from the Aitkin County Developmental Achievement Center (DAC) in McGregor, MN.
These employees had the opportunity to learn many new skills including folding various types of totes and trays produced at MDI. Some received training and worked on the ultrasonic welder and the inspection and labeling the plastic totes and trays. In addition to getting paid at least minimum wage they made new friendships and became an integral part of a great team.
MDI and its employees are very happy to have had the opportunity to work with a great group of people and as one DAC employee said as he left “This is not goodbye… this is see you later“!
