Every day, MDI employees work together to fulfill our vision – meaningful employment opportunities for all people with disabilities. Our team is not limited to the ‘box’ we create, but supported in the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.
Check out how our exceptional employees are making a difference!
United Way – Day of Action
On June 21, MDI Cohasset employees joined thousands, in more than 300 communities across the world, in support of United Way’s Annual Day of Action, a day dedicated to helping the community.
The local group, United Way of 1000 Lakes, serves to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power in Itasca, Aitkin and Cass counties. This year eight different community-wide events took place, including a Personal Care Drive. Our volunteers helped assemble care packages for men, women and children who are at risk of having their basic needs met.
MDI Hired Hands Offers FREE Recycling at SuperOne Foods
Almost every Saturday, from 8:00am to Noon, an MDI Hired Hands Recycling Truck is parked outside Super One Foods in Grand Rapids. Free for all community members, it’s a perfect opportunity to help those who may need to dispose of unwanted recyclables – without the hefty charge. In addition, it’s a great chance to partner with a local business, like SuperOne Foods, and help drive traffic the store.
